The Macbook Aircraft is not quite so light.

Flickr user nybras.rodrigo had the right idea for the people who want every last feature in their notebook when he designed the Macbook AirCraft.

Macbook Air Craft

Missing is the ability to pay your chiropractor, a HDMI port and any sort of audio, and oddly present is the floppy drive. Otherwise, this is (sadly) a summary of what the Mac community so vocally complained for.

Thin is in the details.

I like where you’re going with this and I too agree about the Airbook but there are a couple of problems with your redesign. First off, the floppy would probably either A) be removable, or B) get positioned on the opposite side of the laptop, probably cutting the size down by a little — still much more thick than apple portrays the Airbook as. The only other thing is that the DVI and ethernet should be on the back of the unit, and only two each of USB and Firewire should be stacked, not four. I can’t think of one notebook design that stacks four ports on top of one another, for obvious design reasons. Screw the ipod shuffle, not needed in reality… Other than that I like what you’ve done here and it really says “HEY THE AIRBOOK IS A HUGE PIECE OF CRAP”, which in my opinion it is. It can not be called a computer really. I think the Commodore 64 has just as many peripheral options as the Airbook!
