The 3g iPhone will be available July 11th for $199 (8GB) and $299 (16GB)
It looks like Apple’s surprisingly good cover up job on the 3G iPhone is finally done for. CrunchGear has their hands on some very realistic shots demonstrating, among other things, video chatting, a Product (Red) model, Exchange, iChat (for Windows) and other little tidbits. It also includes definitive, once and for all proof that the iPhone 3g does include… 3g.
Updated with new, real photos.

It sold out pretty quick, but an eBay member found a way to get his hands on two of these hotly anticipated phones.
Click the picture to check out the auction, if it hasn’t been pulled. Update: the eBay auction has been pulled.

It looks good for the three of you who were actually holding out for a new iMac, that will probably:
- Look the same.
- Still have a lousy video card.
- Enjoy a slight speed bump, an update to Penryn and 2GB RAM minimum.
Sounds exciting? Yeah, I didn’t think so. Wake me up when the Macbook Pro gets a design update (or the Macbook goes aluminum).

From Toshiba, “The world’s lightest notebook: weight starting at just 979 g - The world’s first notebook with the slimmest optical drive: just 7 mm- The world’s first notebook with the transflective LED: 12.1″ widescreen display- One of the world’s thinnest notebook: at just 19.5/25.5 mm in height- competitive battery life”
For those of you who got gaga over the original Toshiba Portege R500 but couldn’t stand the thought of a laptop without a solid state drive, this is your lucky day. The R500-12Q is the answer to your very specific prayers.
Eat your heart out, Macbook Air.

Toshiba Portégé R500-12Q
In an apparent jab to anyone who bought an entry level digital SLR, Nikon has dropped the Coolpix P80, a 10 megapixel superzoom. Incorporating some of their best technologies, like VR (vibration reduction) in its enormous 18x optical zoom, and ISO up to 6400. How well that handles noise is yet to be seen, but the new EXPEED image processor may help.
Other features include a (very large) 2.7″ LCD, Digital SLR controls (Program, Aperture, Shutter and Manual), 13FPS (!) sports mode with up to 30 pictures in burst, Face Priority and a whole lot more.
Did I mention its got a $399.95 MSRP? This looks to steal a lot of the action away from entry level Digital SLRs and might just be enough to sway some advanced amateurs away too.
